BYLAW CASES
Several convictions for offences against the bylaws were entered by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon. ' For driving vehicles (in most cases, motor-cars) without having sufficient lights attached, the following wero fined 5» each and ordored to pay cost* :— Montague Shaw, Herbert Fawson, Edward li. Laskey, E. K. Kirkcaldie, and Charles 8. Taylor. Bradley Bros, were fined IDs. for having no tail light on a <car left standing in Tinakori-road, \ For refusing to stop when requested to do co, Herbert Faweon was convicted and ordered to pay 7s costs; 'William Sullivan was fined 10b, and costs. The following were dealt with for driving at excessive speeds:—Frank Bray (fined 5s and costs), Norman -E. Tingey (10s and costs), Martin Donnelly (10s and costs). Scott Oashman, for driving a car on the wrong side of Glasgow-street, was fined ss, and costs amounting to 9s. Driving past a stationary car cost Bertie Dent £1 7s; JtS. W. Jackson,.the same; Samuel W. Moult, 12s; Howard Nattrass, £2 17s. Nattrase was also convicted of driving an unregistered car and fined £1, with 7s costs. C. Swan, for driving an unregistered car, was fined £1, with 7s costs; and H. J. Simpson, guilty of plying for hire with an unregistered car, was ordered to pay costs (7s). W.
