FIRE ON A LAUNCH
CAUSED BY AN EXPLOSION.

AUCKLAND, This Day. The launch Eileen Bell, owned by W P. Bronlund, and valued at £1500, caught fire last night from an explosion, caused by fumes from the cargo igniting. Mr. Bronlund hadl a narrow escap-e from the cabin, the roof of which was blown off. He was severely burned. Th« City Brigade extinguished the flames. The cabm was destroyed, and the hull somewhat damaged. The engine was damaged to the extent of £500.
