Extensive litigation is expected to arise owing to Caruso's habit of making a new will almost monthly. It is reported that the Sorrento will, dated a few' weeks ago, "which was found under his pillow »iiv the death chamber, has now disappeared. I|, is ,also alleged, that before tho officials arrived to deal his effects, millions of lire worth of jewellery vanished. The story goes that mysterious people shadowed» Caruso from the date of his arrival in Italy.
