Mr. R. Coombe3, president of the Amateur Athletic Union of Australia and;' New Zealand, who 'has been attending the Waterloo Cup coursing championships at Hamilton, is du6 to arrive in-WoHirvgUm to-morvow movning. He has expressed a desire to meet the New Zealand controllera of amateur athletics, and arrangements have been made by the executive of the N.Z.A.A.A. to hold. a reception in the Chaniber of Oommerco rooms to-morrov, night. Mr. Coombes is well known throughout sporting circles of Australasia, and to all who desire to meet him the association extends an invitation to the function. During his stay in Wellington, Mr. Coombes willl discuss matters in connection with the Australasian championship's and the visit of the South .African athletes. He is to ..leave Wellington on his return kip to Australia on Thursday.•,
