The number of cases of infectious disease reported in the Wellington Health District during tho weclc ended at noon yesterday' was smaller/by sevon than the number reported in. the previous week. Cases occurred in tho various hospital districts as.under:— Waipawa: Scarlet fever 1, varicella 1, erysipelas 1. Palmerston North: Scarlet lover 3, diphtheria 1, tuberculosis 1. Wellington: Scarlet fever 9, diphtheria 3, enteric fever 2, tuberculosis 2, puerperal septicaomia I, varicella 4, pneumonic influenza 1, pneumonia 7, erysipelas 2. Wairampa: Scarlet fever 1, diphtheria 2, enteric fever 1, tuberculosis 1, pneumonia 2. Noteon: Scarlet fovcr 1. The following table affords a comparison between the numbers of cases of each disease reported during the past week and the previous week respectively:—
