JASCHA HEIFETZ.
Tho box plan for the Wellington season of the celebrated violinist, Jascha Heifetz, opened this morning at the Bristol. ' The three concerts to be given by Heifetz in the Wellington Town Hall are creating unusual interest in musical circles. The Daily Telegraph, London, saya : " As a sheer cascade of neat, pure, clear, beautiful notes, played without a suspicion of inaccuracy, at a positively terrifying pace, it can . never have been equalled, unless it be by Paganini. Hoifetz sways hie audience by the broadness and richness of his tone and that sure touch that shows the hand of the master." Only three concerts'! can he eiven in Wellington—l7th, 22nd, and 25th August—and^ as stated' above, the box plane opened this morning at the Bristol.
