The Australian cricketers opened their match with Warwickshire to-day. The Warwickshire team, is as follows:— Botherham, Holdsworth, Fiddian-Green Partridge, Cross, Quaife, Charlesworth, Howell, Bates, Smart, Scorer. Hendry, Carter, Mailey, and Mayne were omitted from the Australian side.

The weather was bright and cool, but the wicket was wet. iiotherham won the toss. Bates and Fiddian-Greeri opened to the bowling of M'Donald and Armstrong. Fiddian-Green, was out in the fifth over.
