DARGAVILLE, 7th August. The boxing .tournament held on Saturday proved the most successful yet held by the Northern Wairoa Boxing Association. There was a record attendance and some excellent contests were witnessed. '. "'■..'

The principal attraction was the fifteen-l'ound contest between L. cCadma,n (Dargaville) and J. Graham (Auckland), which went the full distance, the verdict being given to Cadman, .who had all the best of the first' six rounds. Both men were in superb condition, but Cadman's extra weight gave him an advantage. It was a good clean fight, both tnen giving a good exhibition. ■*

The results of the amateur bouts were as follow : —Bantam-weight: T. Hawkins beat B. Yahkovich." Light-weight: C. Harris .. beat N. M'Donald. Middleweight: G. Reeves beat B. Game. Heavy-weight: R. Mitchell beat H, Polson. \ Welter-weight: R. Hodgson and Cunis drew. Mr. Nat. Williams made a very capable referee.
