CABTERTON, 6th August. The monthly sitting- of the Greytown Magistrate's Court was held yesterday beWe Mr. .S. L. • P. Free,'S.M. Two persons, for driving vehicles at night without lights, were fined 10s and costs 7s. Three, men who were found on licensed premises after hours were each fined £1 and costs 7s. In the defended case of T. B. Heapy v. James Adamson, a claim for £186 17s- 9d arising from a motor collision which took place at Morrison's Bush in January, and a counter .claim for £196 12s 2d, judgment was reserved, and the. Magistrate will inspect the locality where the accident occurred. \
In the miniature, rifle match fired between the Featherston and Carterton. Clubs at Featherston, the home team, won by a total of 942 to 930. Prior to leaving the Carterton Post Office on transfer to v Wellington, Mr H. .N. Davie was presented with a. gold-mounted fountain pen from. Ms fel-low-workers. ' -
