J. C. Hartley, captain, 47 years of age; has represented Tonbridge, Oxford University; and Sussex. A. W. Carr, 27 years of age; has represented Sherwood, and captained the Notts eleven.

L. H. W. Tronghton, age 42; captained Kent eleven last season.

R. S. L. Fowler, age" 30; has represented Eton and Old Etonians.

A. C. Wilkinson, 29 years of age; played for Eton and Oxford. C. H. Blount, W.. V. D. Dickinson, and M. B. Burrows are all young players; represented the Army and Navy against the Australians. Burrows also toured America with the English team called the "Incognitos."

M. F. Earle (Surrey) is evidently one of the rising generation of cricketers as there is no reference to him in Wisdens.

The two professionals have yet to be selected, and will have a distinct bearing on the strength of the side, which as .far as can be judged at present, is solid and brilliant.
