ALEXANDER WATSON RECITALS.
■■This evening, at 8 o'clock,' Mr Alexander Watson will begin the, first of his New Zealand series of dramatic and humorous recitals. It is several years* since this platform' celebrity was heard here. In addition to the programmes which established Mr. Watson's popularity in Australasia, he has brought several entirely new one 3 for this tour. The first of these will be given this evening. . It, is the Dickens'? Christmas story, "Dr. Marigold's Prescriptions." On Monday next' the first Shakespearean programme, the". Forum Scene froir "Julius Caesar," will bo given, and on Tuesday several items from that very interesting author, J. M. Barrie, will form the 'backbone 'of the programme. The second new programme,, which will include "Tha Boots at the Holly Tree Inn," is down for Wednesday, and on Thursday Mr Watson will give selections from "The Tempest" and "Romeo and Juliet." Ths box plans are now open at the Bristol.
