While beating up the entrance of the harbour, shortly after 1 . o'clock this afternoon, in the 'face oE tie strong northerly gale, the -auxiliary schooner Echo •■carried away her inner jib. At a Jater hour she was reported to lie awaiting the services of a tug, inside the Heads. Messrs. Vine and Wilson will sell furniture, jewellery, and pianos, at 1.30 p.m. to-morrow, in their 1 rooms, Dominion-ay. Messrs. Thomson, Brown, and East, Ltd., report having disposed of two • properties by auction at tlieir salo yesterday. There was a good attendance and spirited bidding- The property in Wilson-street, was sold to Mr. L. Spiro, and the one in Apu-crescont, Lyall Bay, to Mr. J. S.
