Something new in vocal music is being introduced' to Wellington by Marie Nilsson, the Scottish prima donna (from the Royal Albert Hall and Queen's Hall concerts, London), at her vocal recital in the Concert Chamber on Tuesday next. In addition to the "Jewel" song front "Faust" a group of Hebridean songs by, M. Kennedy Fraser will be included! in the programme. The wide range o£ primitive passion, legendery lore, and) picturesque imagery reflected in lilts, croons, chants, and lullabies, is made use of in a. most fascinating manner by ths composer.
