SCOTTISH CONCERT
A successful Scottish concert was heldi at Johnsonville, in a.id of the gymnasium inaugurated by the Presbyterian Church. A pleasing and varied programme, consisting of songs, recitations, pipe musk; and dance,s was provided by a talented company of artists from Wellington. Songs were rendered by Mesdarnes Allen and J. Potts, Helen M'Lellan, and Messrs. Newtow and Simp:;on, and recitation by Miss Jones, and Scottish dances by Masters D. Thomas, D. Scott, and Misses Jessie and Rona Taylor. Mrs. M'Lellan was the accompanist, and M;\ DonaM Scott piper, supplied the music for tine dances) as well as pipe selection. The programme was appreciated, by a large and. enthusiastic audience,, who joined in the singing of "Auld -Lang Syne" and National Anthem, at the conclusion of the concert. The R-ev. D. J. Shaw, M.A., presided.
