MAGISTRATE'S COURT
'Captain W. Heniiah and Mr. H. Seaton, J.P., presided over to-day's sitting of the Magistrate's Court. Several firstdffending inebriates were dealt with in the usual manner. Albert Ecnest Boyson-, against whom there were three previous convictions for drunkenness, was fined £1, in default 24 hours' imprisonment. '■ .
Alfred Rawson, who was arrested this morning, was charged with stealing' an overcoat ■ valued at £5, the property of Ida Lilian Grey. The theft is said to have taken place on Monday. As the man was arrested only this morning, a remand, on the application of Chief' Detective Ward, was granted until Friday next.
