Instructions have been given by the Postmaster-General (the Hon. J. G. Coates) that officers of the Department shall be at liberty to join Chambers of Commerce and similar bodies and take part in the meetings if they so r desire. It is realised that many of the chambers deal with questions concerning the Postal and Telegraph services and the membership of officers of the Department would onable points of uncertainty to be explained readily and without recourse to the Department in many cases.
