AUCKLAND, This Day. The Post and Telegraph revenue for the Dominion for the year ended' 31st March, 1921, totalled £2,448,673, states the Postmaster-General. Ths revenue for the previous financial year amounted to £2,106,995, the increase for the year just ended being £341,678. The sale of stamps last year realised £1,195,329, compared with £1,013,025 in the previous year. The postal revenue was £1,264,059, an increase of £196,----569.
In* the telegrams the receipts amounted to £671,084, being £67,863 in excess of the previous year.
Rentals from telephones reached £502,649, an increase of £83,332.
The figures under all headings of Post Office Savings Bank and Money Order business show increases over those for 1919-1920. The Savings Bank deposits increased by over £6,000,000, but withdrawals show more than a corresponding increase
