[The Right Hon. J. H. Whitley has been Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee and Deputy-Speaker since 1911. He is the senior partner of S. Whitley and Company, cotton spinners, Halifax. . The Right Hon. James Lowther had had the office since 1905.]
