THE VANCOUVER SERVICE.

The R.M.S. Makura is due at Auckland on Friday next from Vancouver. She is to leave Auckland at noon on the following Saturday for Sydney. Ber next trip to Vancouver -will b» made from Auckland on the 10th May.

The Moeraki, which arrived at Wellington yeiiterday afternoon from Sydney, sailed last night for Lyttelton. On her trip across from Sydney she experienced light to moderate variable winds and smooth seas, with occasional rain squalls. Cargo for discharge totalled 769 tons, including transhipments ci Houtman, Arawatta, Bakara, Australport, -Kanewna, Victoria, Omar, Orontes, and Orvietb • The Moeraki is timed to sail from Wellington at 5 p.m. on Thursday next on the return trip to Sydney and Hobart. . ;

The C. and D. Line steamer Port Caroline is dua at Wellington on Thursday next from Marry, with a cargo of Welsh coal for discharge at Wellington.

The Mahana was to leave Lyttelton to-day for Port Chalmers. She is to return to ?,yttelton to load, and will then come to Wellington, arriving here on the 3rd May to complete loadipg. She is timed to sail from Wellington on the 10th May for London/ via Panama.

Continuing her voyage from Melbourne, vl» Bluff, the Tarawera is to leave Duuedin on Saturday for •Wellington. She Is due here •> on Monday, and will sail oa Tuesday with general cargo tor Sydney.
