"SINBAD" PANTOMIME.

The dramatic critic of the Auckland Herald writes of the principals of the J. and N. Tait 1921 annual—"Sinbad The Sailor"—to be seen here at the Grand Opera House on Thursday next : —"At the head of this strone company is- Miss Jennie Hartley, that charming and vivacious little lady who conquered all hearts when she was hero previously. She givers to the whole piece its infectious gaiety and life. . . . The other lady soloists were Miss Linda Young, whose operatic numbers received great applause, Mks _ Ethel Walker, and Mies Margot Lester. Mr. Colin Crane was the prinoipal male singer. He has a rich baritone voice far above the pantomime standard. Messrs'. Jack Cannot, Edgley, and Dawe and Dari Agar (the dame) were a splendid team of comedians. They had a most flattering reception. Miss Elsie Parkes and Mr. Kelso Henderson were the leading dancers, their work in the. butterfly ballet being perfect. Mr. William A. Hassan appeared as the cat 'Ginty,' Sinbad's faithful shadow. Rarely has an animal character given such 'enjoyment. . . . Mr. Bert Nicholson - made a splendid 'old man of the sea.' The Littlejohns were responsible for a. remarkable juggling turn." The season is for twelve nights, with a matinee every Wednesday and Saturday. The box plans for the first six nights and next Saturday's and Wednesday week's matinees will be opened at the Bristol Piano Company to-morrow morning, at 9 o'clock.
