At the Napier Caledonian Sports, held recently, Mias Thelma E. M'Kenzie (14 year's of age), Sydnsy-street, New Zealand's champion all-round dancer, won the Seanntrubhas, Highland, reel, Highland- fling, and sailors' hoVripipe, and gained second place in tho Ir,ish jig. There were only five dances on the programme, for competitors under 18 years of age.
There was only one bankruptcy in Wellington during the month of February.
.Recent rains have greatly improved the water-supply outlook- for the city, and the position is now satisfactory.
