EXPERTS TO EXAMINE THE
PRISONER,
A9HBURTON, This Day. • The Hon. E. P. Lee, Minister of Justice, stated,- in reference to the publio meeting held in Christchurch last night to urge the commutation of the 'death sentence on -Reginald s'lattbsws, that he had already brought the case before Oahinet, which decided that Matthews should be examined by two medical experts. Mt. Lee at once arranged for two experts of high repute to make the examination. .
