A Reufcer meseage from London states that summer time in England will begin on 2nd April, and ends on 2nd October.
According to a message from London Australia House is seething with discontent. It is reported that 80 per cent, of the staff has appealed against the classification on the ground that it practically means an ultimate reduction in salaries. Sir Muirhead Collins declines to' make a statement, and contends that it is purely a Departmental matter and does not concern the public.
Major James Boose, travelling commissioner for the Royal Colonial Institute, was entertained by the Millions Club in Sydney. He strongly urged the claims of the institute as a medium for maintaining the solidarity of the Empire. A branch of the society was subsequently formed.
