ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.

NAPIER-, 24th ; February. The annual general meeting of members of tbe New Zealand . Institute of Architects was held to-day, Mr. J. L. Salmond (president) being in the chair.

With reference to the scale of charges it was resolved : "(1) That in future the li per cent, hitherto charged alternatively to the builder or employer (as may be arranged) be now charged direct (and only) to the employer; (2) that the scale of charges be referred to a special committee for revision."

On the recommendation of the Finance Committee, it was decided .that in future the fee for the intermediate examination be £3 3s, and for the final examination £4 4s.

■ A number of formal matters were dealt with, and a lengthy presidential address was delivered.

To-night the local branch entertained the delegates at a smoke concert.
