jTHE TEA MARKET.
There was reported to be a slight red«cttonin the price of lower grade teas in the Colombo' market last week, but this has been followed by a recovery during the past few days, and the m«.»ket position, is described as firm. Fine teas are' reported as easier.
Messrs. Daigety and Company, Limited, report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of the 16th iust.-.—"Tallow: 2600 casks were offered, and 600 sold. Average, Is lower; rather better demand at the .decline. Fine mutton, £2 3s; good mixed, £1 16s to £1 18s; gut, £1 95."
