LODNON, 18th January. Advices from Berlin state that President Ebert issued a manifesto on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of tho Empire, extolling the unity of the German tribes, and bewailing the separation qf compatriots, particularly ' Austria. "Despite the differences of political and economic views and frontiers which divide us," says the manifesto, "the unity of the Fatherland; is an article of faith and earnest hope for all."
