According to tho statement of Mr. Jury, the skip of the Karangahake team which won the rinks bowling championship yesterday, the Karangahake Grab will become defunct on the 31st March next, owing to the falling-off in the mining industry in that district. Mr. Jury said that the championship banner would be all the more treasured by the club as the last trophy it had won. Mr. Jury and his team won the last Auckland Centre Championship. The positions of the two teams which played in the final in the matter of wins and losses were as follow :—Jury, in section play, played eight .games and had six wins and two losses; in post section play, 10 wins and one loss. Rennie : Section play seven wins and one loss; pest-section play eight wins, one bye, and two losses. ■ 'Summary : Jury, 19 games, 16' wins,' and 3 losses; Rennie, 18 games, 15 wins, 1 bye, and 3 losses.
