The coal-owners say that there is. now a deficiency of two millions sterling a weak* The pool o£ eighteen millions sterling is expected to be exhausted early in March.. ■ It will then be nscessaiy to increase the prices of coal for home consumption. The collapse of prices is largely due to big American shipments to the Continent during the strike, and. to the fact that Americans are now releasing stocks at almost any price.
