CADETS IN TRAINING
BOXING COMPETITIONS.
The' Secondary School Cadets, who have bean undergoing training at Trentham, concluded the course yesterday by an athletic sports meeting *The various competitions during the past few days have been followed with much interest, and tins was particularly noticeable on Tuesday evening, when the finals of U>e boxing tournament took place. The bouts \v*re evenly contested; the competitors showing good form.
.Results of the boxing events are as follow :—
Fly-weight (8.6), Corporal Morrissey (Thames M.S.), beat Sergeant' lladley (King's College)
. Bantam-weight (9.0), Corporal Thompson (Marlbovough College), beat Sergeant Cook (West, Christchurch' H.S.). Feather-weight (9.7), Q.M.S. Huglipon (New Plymouth 8.H.5.), beat Se-rgesnt Hamilton (Southland Technical School!. Light-weight (9.12), C.S.M. Frean (Auckland Technical), beat Corporal Giif--fin (Hawera Technical).
Welter-weight (10.6), Sergeant Tanner (Auckland Technical), beat Corporal Wit-h-erow (King's Collecre).
Middle-weight (11.6), Corporal Baume (Wait-aid 8.H.5.), beat Lance-Corporal Divider (New Plymouth 8.H.5.). ■Paper-weighjti (7,9), Corporal Itogan. (Ota-go Boys High School), boat Corporal Stewart (M'Glashan College). Heavy-weight (12.6), Corporal Gower (King's College), beat Corporal Nivins (Wanganui College).
