CHEISTCHURCH, 18th January. Tho tennis msitah between the teams of New South Wales and Canterbury players concluded to-day, the visitors securing a somewhat easy win. The- courts wero -heavy at the outset owing to ruin overnight, but soon dried and played excellently. Results: —
Singles—M. H. Marsh ■ beat P. Greenwood, 1-6, 6-4. 8-6; N. Peach beat C. G. Aitken, 6-3, 7-5; A. S. Watt beat F. S. Wilding-, 6-3. 6-3. /
Doubles—Henderson and : Watt boat Quill and Clark 6-4, 6-3; Henderson and N. Peach lost to (Aitken and Wilding, .11-9, 11-6, 7-9; Marah,/and Henderson beat- Goss and Greenwood, 6-2, 6-4; Peaoh Brothers beat Quill und Clark, 6-2, 7-5.
