WAIROA, 15th January. The second day's races of the Wairoa County Eacing^ Club were held in a heavy north-east gale. The gusty wind during the afternoon made the time of the races run slow. There was a good attendance. The going was* again very hard. The totalisator handled £17,120. Kesults:— Hack Handicap Scurry, of 100 soys ; fivo furlongs.—Eoya.l Moments, 9.5 (H.
