TRENTHAM CADET MATCHES,
The following are results of the- cricket matches played at Trentham on Friday : Auckland "P. and R.T. Squad (82 runs for eight wickets) beat Canterbury , P and R.T. Squad (72 runs for i>ix wickets).' Wellington P. and R.T. Squad (71 ruiisfor nine wicketsl beat Canterbury Mus ketry Squad (65 runs all out).
Onaccount of the heavy rain on Saturday afternoon, tlw various cricket competitions were not continued. It has been found necessary to play interclub fixtures on Saturday next (Anniversary Day)'. The cadets in training at TVentham are holding a district championship. Last week the semi-final matches were played, the results being as follow:—Auckland P. and R.T. Squad, 65 runs for eight wickets, defeated Otago P. and R.T. Squad, 50 runs for nine wickets; Canterbury P. and R.T. • Squad, 65 runs, defeated 1 Wellington Drill Squad, 35 ) uns.
