THE DEMAND DECLINING
INCREASE-OF REPAYMENT.
Interesting figures in regard to the work of the Repatriation Department were given to a Post representative today by the Minister in charge of the Department (tho Hon. D. H. Guthrie). "The expenditure on reparation," said the Minister, "reached its maximum in December, 1919, in which month £120,----000 was advanced to soldiers. Sim-a then the expenditure has steadily decreased month by month, while tfle income from repayments of loans has increased steadily. It is anticipated that within the next three months the monthly income from repayments will about equa.l the. monthly expenditure.
