TEACHERS' INTERESTS
AN AUSTRALASIAN COUNCIL.

SYDNEY, This Day. The Interstate Conference of Public School Teachers set up a sub-committee on the question of. a federal organisation, and it- has suggested that there should be a provisional council consisting of three representatives of each State, including New Zealand, and one from each department—primary, secondary, and technical. The object of the council is to promote the interests of education and safeguard .the interests of teachers.
