The liner Remuera, from London and Southampton, via Panama, arrived in the stream at 4 o'clock this afternoon. >

JIANUKA Ilf PORT.

The Union Company's steamer Manuka arrived in the stream at 3.35 o'clock yesterday afternoon from Sydney direct, and berthed at--6 o'clock at the Lambton Wharf. The vessel left Sydney at 4 o'clock on Thursday, . and experienced a rough trip across, meeting with south-westerly gales and high jseas. Inclndcd in the cargo is a consignment of 714 cases of fruit for Wellington, and 983 cases for Lyttolton. The Manuka is to sail this afternoon for Lyttelton, from which port she is dua back on Thursday morning. She is set down / to sail at noon the same day on the return ' trip to Hobart and Sydney.

TOFDA FOE SAN FRANCISCO. The departure of the R.M.S. Tofua for 8»n Francisco, via Rarotonga and Papeete, has been further postponed until 3 o'clock on Thursday afternoon. - , '

, STEAMER'S ROUGH TRIP.

The Japanese steamer Yechigo Maru, which arrived in Auckland on Sunday from Bnnbury, via Sydney, with a cargo of hardwood, experienced very heavy weather on the voyage. She left Bunbury on the 23rd October, and two days later ran into a westerly gale. The vessel rolled and pitched in an alarming manner, and was swept by huge seas fore and aft. Her decks were continually flooded, and in tho height of the gale the port and starboard gangways were badly damaged. The vessel also sustained minor damage to her deck fittings.. The gale lasted for three days, tne weainer then cleared up. The Yechigo Maru reached Sydney on the 3rd November, and left for Auckland on the 7th November. Crossing theTasraan Sea she met with fairly good weather until Friday afternoon, when she expeltenced a strong south-west gale. Her decks were again flooded, but on this occasion she suffered no damage. , -

THE FEDERAL LINE.

Sailings from Liverpool for New Zealand ports are announced by the Federal Line as follows:—

Waitapu left 10th November, with cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland at the end of December. ,', .

The Orari, en route, is reported as having left Panama for Auckland and Wellington on 31st October. ,

The Opawa left Panama on 7th November for Auckland and Wellington. The Waikowaita is to leave on 17th November, for- New Zealand ports, via Panama.

The Otarama is scheduled to leave on IBth December for New Zealand ports, via Panama. The Westmeath is to sail about 24th December with cargo for Australian ports.

FOE VANCOUVER.

The R.M.S. Tahiti is set down to sail from Auckland on 27th November, for Vancouver, via Suva and Honolulu.

PERSONAL.

Mr. A. Jf. lloody has signed on the Blenheim' as mate.

Mr. T. Bowling has succeeded Mr. G. B. Morgan as chief officer of the Maori.

Mr. E. Wilson, second officer of the Walruna, has left that vessel. He has been succeeded by Mr. W. Henderson. Mr. G. Sharps has joined the vessel as acting purser.

Sir. E. Cox and Mr. J. Briscoe, two ertr» officers who arrived by the Manuka yester> day, are to await orders here.

The departure of the S.S. and A. liner Karamea from Wellington for London, via Panama, has been postponed till to-morrow.

The Dorset left Southampton on 28th October for Auckland and Wellington.' The vessel is due at Auckland on 22nd December, and at Wellington nine days later.

The Tarawera Is to leave Dunedin to-morrow or on Thursday for Wellington. She is set down to sail from here on Saturday with gen eral cargo for Sydney.

If sufficient cargo is offering, the Canadian Government steamer, the Canadian Exporter, is to load in New Zealand during December for the United^Kingdom:

The leitrim left the stream at Wellington at 6 o'clock last evening, to complete loading fn the Wanganui roadstead. The vessel is due back on Friday for bunkering, and is to sail on Saturday for Boston, and New York, via Panama. • »

The Waitomo, which left Newcastle at G o'clock on Thursday evening with coal for Wellington, is due to-morrow evening or Thursday morning.

The Federal Line advises that the Somerset, with cargo from New York, left Panama on 3rd November, for Lyttelton. The Cornwall is scheduled to sail from New York on 25th November with cargo for New Zealand ports.

The Union Company advises that the Komata is to leave Westport at midnight for Wellington with coal and passengers. The Corinna, which arrived at Wellington this morning from Lyttelton and Nelson, will sail at noon to-morrow with general cargo for New Plymouth:-

The Blackball Company's launch, which went ashore on the rocks at Kaiwarra during the southerly storm on Saturday night, was refloated this morning, and was taken round to the Clyde-quay boat harbour for repairs.

The Eaiapoi is due at Wellington to-night with a cargo of cement from Whangarei. At ter discharge here she will proceed to Greymouth.

The Kakapo i| to leave Greymomh to-night with (i load of coal for Wellington.

The Wanaka will now leave Auckland on Wednesday for Wellington direct. She is due here on Friday, and will proceed later to Lyttelton. Tiroaru, Dunedin, and Bluff.

Tba Nikau arrived at Wellington this morning from Nelson with passengers only. Slio was placed on the Slip for cleaning and paintIng, and will sail again for Nelson on Thursday night.

The Westmeath, which left Wellington on the 29th September for Newport (Wales) and Avonmouth, is reported as having arrived at Newport News on Thursday last.

' The Rnahipe is scheduled to sail from Southampton on the 2nd December for Wellington and Auckland. At present the vessel is undergoing repairs to her hull, caused bji the ferry steamer Duchess ramming her in Wellington some months ago.

With a load of cement from Whaugarei the. Kaiapoi is due here at 8 o'clock this evening.
