There has been a lengthy discussion between the Polish and Russian delegations. Citizen Joffe, head of the Sdviet delegation, endeavoured to prolong the conference by proposing a compromise on the frontier question, but the Poles were firm and Joffe finally accented their proposal. Some reports state that a protocol has been signed; others say the arrangement made is merely for a* 1 truce, not for peace. ' "•
