PARAMOUNT AND ARTCRAFT.

The piece de resistance at the Paramount and Artcraft Theatres this week is the screen story of Mark Twain's adorable boy "Huckleberry Finn." Huck is a whimsical, lovable character, adventurous, pert, humorous, sympathetic, daring and scornful, a complex character admired by thousands in all parts of the world. With Tom Sawyer as his copartner in many deeds of adventure and impertinence he flashes across the screen in a series of doings that bring tears and laughter. The career of the freckle faced, red-headed young rascal makes an ideal screen -play, and Lewis Sargent and Gordon Griffith as Huck and Tom fairly delight in their boyish .roles. Walt Whitman enacts the role of Mark Twain with consummate skill. "Huckleberry Finn", is a picture for adults and juveniles, for it is a memorable work. Lionel Barrymore is featured in a stirring drama of the American Civil War, "The Copperhead," a story of a man's secret service for Abraham Lincoln. The programme will be repeated to-night. :
