AUCKLAND BUTCHERS LOSING MONEY.
(BZ mEGRAMi.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) • AUCKLAND, This* Day. The Auckland Prices Investigation! Tribunal has considered a comprehensive report on meat prices which covers every branch of the meat industry, from the price paid for stock in the saleyaxds to half of the bi-products. According to this report butchers operating in the city and suburbs have been losing money ora the retail meat business. The present is considered to be the most unfavourable period of the year for butchers, so far as prices go, and the report will serve as a. good basis' for the Tribunal to investigate charges made for meat during other periods in the year.
