PIGEON RACING
The racing «ea6On of the Wellington Homing Pigeon Society was opened on Saturday last, when a. race for a.trophy donated by Mr. G. Wilson was flown from Parnassus, » distance qf 130 miles. Ten member* sent 52 birds, whioh were liber' ated at 10 a.m. Light rain was falling and the weather w« vory thick. Only two lofts timed in—Mr. J. Bolton at 3.46 p.m. (R.C.C., W 1915, 447), and Mrs. M. E. Lowe at 4.2 p.m. (R.C.C., W. 1917, 442).
