EXHIBITION BY KIRKWOOD,
Great interest is being taken in Wellington ip the visit of J. H. iKirkwood, the open and professional champion of Australia and New Zealand. He is to play at Miramar on Saturday next, arid will represent Australia against New Zealand, his opponent being E. S. Douglas, threi times open champion of New Zealand. Play commences with an 18-hole match, starting at 9.45 a.m. A second 18-hole match will commence at 1.15 p.m. At 0.30 p.m. Kirkwood will give an exhibition of trick shots, and also practically every kind of shot a golfer is called on to play. The exhibition of shots will include upright and flat swings, push shots, slicing, pulling, low, medium, high flights, etc. The Miramar Golf Club is anxious that one and all should see this great player, and members of other clubs and the public are invited to support the movement for furthering the game of golf in the Dominion.
