ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
Mr. W. Auld presided at a meeting of the Wellington Football Association last evening. Applications for, .grounds for house matches were received from Bannatyne and Hunter and the Phoenix Aerated Water Co., and were referred to the Fixtures Committee. A letter was received from the Town Clerk stating that the association had been granted permission to take up a street collection on 26th November. It was decided, in connection with, the proposed tour of a New Sotfth'Wales'team through New Zealand, to guarantee the amount required by the New Zealand Council, provided all gatemoney js; taken by the Wellington Association. ■ --■• ■--- "■-■.--■■
