COPENHAGEN, 6th October.
Reports from South Russia state that the Ukrainians have had numerous successes, and Wrangel and' Petlura have joined forces. Another report says thatGeneral Weygand has gone to South Russia to command Wrangel's troops. Wrangel's first army, including 30,000 Cossacks, is under the command of General Slashtcheff, who in reality is the Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovitch. The second army comprises 17,000 reserves, the third, army, between 50,000 and 70,000; and the fourth group consists of 30,000 Kuban Cossacks, based on the Black' Sea. (xcciar.'s mnoßAit.) WARSAW, sth October. . General Wrangel's operations in South Bussia. are again prominent. The situation is apparently developing rapidly, and a big move to the line of Ekaterinoslav and Rostoff appears imminent, simultaneously with 'widespread raids headed by General Makhuo. Apparently the famous guerilla leader, who has already advanced to Losovaja, Slavianik, and Kraraagorskaja in the Donets Basin, has reached Krementchong, on the Dnieper. The movement prepares the way for a. big advance by "Wrangel, as the capture of Losovaja and Slaviansk cuts the Bolshevik main communications from" their big 7 base at Kharkoff to the Rostoff area while Ekatrinoslav is menaced from the rear. Wrangel a-nnounces that eleven thousand prisoners have been counted in the Voluovalka area, and he has reached a point nineteen miles west of Mariopol, taking 1600 prisoners. Meanwhile Trotsky's latest trumpet call reveals the greatest anxiety regarding the southern front and declares that it must bo liquidated before the winter.
