ULSTER VOLUNTEERS
EMOLUMENT AS CONSTABLES.

LONDON, 6th October
The Freeman's Journal states that the Government is enrolling and arming the "Olster Volunteers as special constables. They are to be paid £3 10s a week, and 10s extra for special raidj duty, with a pension for those injured Yin duty. The paper alleges that the Grand Lodges have taken up the matter, and threaten to expel members who refuse to join.
