ANGLO-JAPANESE TREATY
A CANADIAN OPINION.
(Received October 7, 9 a.m.) ' ' LONDON, 6th Octofier. The. Montreal correspondent of the Morning Post says that the Canadian Government has not revealed its attitude towards the renewal of the Anglo-Japan-ese Treaty; but Mr. Rudolphe Lemieux, ex-Postmaster-General, in an interview, said he strongly favoured its renewal from the Canadian standpoint, because all transit between Europe and the Far East will eventually pass through Canada.
