In the event of light cot being available (he did not see how the chamber could be lit except by electricity) he proposed to ask the House to meet at 11 a.m. to-morrow arid ait during the forenoon and afternoon. Some committee rooms might be lit in the evening. As to the waterfront trouble, the Govern-, ment was watching the matter carefully, and whatever happened would do its duty. Sir William Herries said Mr. Newton, Conciliation Commissioner, had met the representatives of the employers, and was meeting the men this afternoon.
