A. & P. ASSOCIATION

ANNUAL MEETING OF MASTER-

TON BODY.

The annual meeting of members of the Masterton A. and P. Association,s'held on Saturday, was well attended. "Mr. W. Perry, the retiring president, was in the chair. "

The Chairman, in his address, said the past year had not been a rosy one for the association from a financial point of view as a result of the war. The effect of the wet weather on the second day of the last show had been partly the cause" of there being a balance on the wrong side of the ledger., The committee in its efforts .to bring the last show up to the pre-war standard had, perhaps, been a little over-generous in the matter of prize-money. The prize-money - totalled £1200, as compared with £1178 given by the Hastings Society and £851 by the Carterton Society.

The report and balance-sheet were adopted.
