THE MINSK MEETING
A POT AND KETTLE ARGUMENT.

LONDON, 12th August.
The fateful 11th, when the Poles and -Russians should have met at Minsk to begin the pourparlers, passed without the delegates coming into contact.. Ac- ■' cording to Bolshevik allegations, the | Poles ignore the Soviet wireless mes.sages, while the Poles similarly blame. |\ the Russians.
A Russian wireless message from Warsaw to-day, which Kamenefif handed to Mr. Lloyd George, says the Russian command waited in vain for the Polish delegates at the place indicated, where all facilities for the Polish delegates were \provided. . The message concludes : "We have no intentions incompatible with the liberty, independence, and sovereign rignts of Poland. .We will recognise these jn full." A later message states that the first move in-the negotiations has materialised. The Polish Foreign Minister has telegraphed _ ti.at the Poles have despatched their parlernentaires to come to an understanding with the Russian command. ,
