Mr. L. E. Bellamy, of the Internal Affairs Department, has been appointed Inspector of Weights and Measures at , Ohristchureh. Mr. H. Brnost Leipchton reports that .■yesterday he submitted in the Chamber of Commerce, Customhouse-quay, under instructions from the Public Trustee in. the William Scott Milne estate, a farm of 27 acres, situate in the Taita, which was sold under the hammer to Mt. Georgo August i for £1850. Another farm of nine acres., not reaching the reserve, was passed in. In tho Russell. Estate, Nainai, block 1. containing 7z acres, was passed in at £275 per acre, arid block 2, of 15 acres, at £250 per aero.
