\ FRENCH RECOGNITION OF WRANGEL
(Received August 12, 9 a.m.) PARIS, 11th August. France will recognise General Wrangel as head of the South Russian Government. Military assistance is implied by this action. Mr. Lloyd George has been notified. (Received August 12, 11 a.m.) LONDON, 11th August; The French, recognition of the South Russian Government means the splitting of the Entente. It is reported that Mr. Lloyd George. refuses to be stampeded into war by France. Franco having decided tc give General Wrangel every material support, without waiting for the result of the Russo-Polish negotiations, Radical Labour circles interpret the decision as a deliberate breach of the Hythe agreement, with full appreciation of the consequence?.
