Having completed an extensive overhaul at Port Chalmers the Union Company's steamer Moana arrived at Wellington thfs morning. Mie will leave for Sydney at noon to-morrow in the Manuka's run, as the latter vessel is to undergo survey. The Manuka will leave for Port Chalmers to-morrow. PERSONAL. Mr. T. Walker, of the Union Company's service, arrived in Wellington this morning by the Wahine for the purpose of joining the Marama as purser. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line advises that the Port Curtis is expected to leave Auckland at. daylight to-morrow for Napier The vessel is due at Wellington about Wednesday next, and will later proceed to Lvttelton, Dunedin, and Australian ports. Bannatyne and Co. are the local agents. Cabled advice has been received Dy the Shaw. Savill,,and Albion Company to the effect that the liner Mahia left New York on the 7th. August for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. The Karamea, leaving Wellington on Friday, will not call at Lyttelton, but will proceed direct to Dunedin. The Talune is to leave Auckland '"-morrow morning for Rarotonga and Papeett. :. The Whangape is due at Wellington about Monday next from Auckland with, a consignment Ipi general cargo.
